Xiaomi has unveiled the Android Box Mi Box 4S Max with 8K support

BingMag.com Xiaomi has unveiled the Android Box Mi Box 4S Max with 8K support

Xiaomi Mi Box series gadgets are one of the most popular Android boxes in the world, which despite their low price, offer many features. Xiaomi unveiled a new Android Box called Mi Box 4S Max in China a few hours ago. This device uses 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory, which means that it has significantly improved compared to the previous generation.

For comparison, we should say that competing devices such as Tivo Steam 4K, Nvidia Shield TV Tube and Chromex all use 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. Since Android boxes do not require much RAM, increasing the internal memory is much more important in general, and now users can safely use this new Xiaomi device without worrying about running out of capacity.

Xiaomi has used the Amlogic S905X3 chipset for this Android box, which has a quad-core processor based on Cortex A55 and next to it. The Mali-G31 MC2 GPU is working. In addition to playing 4K content at 60 frames per second, this device can also play 8K videos. Of course, it is said that the Xiaomi Mi Box 4S Max does not support AV1 hardware decoding, so it will probably not be very smooth and attractive to play 8K content.

Other features of this device include 4K HDR support. Note the HDMI 2.1 port, USB 3.0 port and Bluetooth-based remote. As in previous generations, it is possible to increase the capacity of this device using the USB port.

Chinese users can buy this attractive Android Box for $ 75. It is not yet clear at what price and on what date this device will enter the global market.
