Given that music plays a big role in the TikTok social network, it wouldn't be too strange if this company designed its own music streaming service and Introduce to users around the world. Apparently, a patent filed in this regard shows that TikTok is working on exactly such a service.

The company that owns TikTok, ByteDance, recently filed a patent application for "TikTok Music" with the Patent Office in May. and posted trademarks of the United States of America. Based on the information of this request, this service will allow users to buy, play, share and download songs. This service also provides users with the ability to create, share and suggest playlists, comment on songs, and broadcast live audio and video. Bytedance previously registered a patent for the same service in Australia in November.

Bytedance also has experiences in the field of music streaming. In 2020, the company launched a music streaming app called Resso in India, Brazil and Indonesia. The interesting point is that this application has some of the features registered in the patent of the streaming service TikTok Music, such as creating playlists, sharing songs on social media and commenting on them.

It is said that Bytedance is even using TikTok to attract users to the Resso app. According to The Information, the TikTok app in Brazil will come with a button that directs users to Resso to listen to full versions of their favorite songs. The Information also revealed that Resso had more than 40 million monthly active users in India, Brazil and Indonesia as of November 2021. Earlier, it was announced in a report that the number of users of this service in India increased by about 300% between January 2021 and January 2022. But during the same period, the TikTok app experienced only 38% user growth in India.

It is currently unclear whether ByteDance plans to design the TikTok Music streaming service based on Resso's policies or not. . Since Tik Tok has contributed a lot to the way social networks work, it remains to be seen whether their music streaming service can have the same impact.
