Spectacular details of the Orion Nebula revealed in the James Webb Telescope image

Looking at part of the Orion Nebula, the James Webb Space Telescope recently captured this stellar nursery in astonishing detail, as expected.

James Webb's look at one of the favorite objects of amateur astronomers, the Orion Nebula or the Hunter, is very spectacular. This photo was taken using the NIRCam instrument, which looks at the world in the near-infrared spectrum, and has revealed an inner region of the Orion Nebula. As exciting as its other new images, including the ultra-deep image of this telescope with 8 times the depth of Hubble's ultra-deep image, the surreal image of the Tarantula Nebula or the observatory's first direct image of an exoplanet.

This image as part of the program Early web science and recorded during the PDRs4All scientific collaboration. The goal of this collaboration is to image photodisintegration regions (PDRs), where ultraviolet light from stars strongly affects the chemical structure of gases in space and creates hot regions of gas and dust.

The bright shape of the "Orion Bar" is the dominant feature in this web image, a huge belt of Gas and dust that can be seen in yellow-brown color. In the center of this strip, there is a bright star called 2 Orionis A. This star is bright enough to be visible to the naked eye if the observer is in a dark enough location.

This new image is filled with hot, young stars, especially in the upper right corner. which are collectively known as "Trapezium Cluster". Their ultraviolet light has softly illuminated the hunter's band. Thus, in the image that at first glance looks like a giant space mustache, many phenomena beyond expectation are going on. (Hubble Space Telescope) is taken, it is more noticeable. Webb's image shows cooler material than Hubble's image, where hot gas is the main feature.

James Webb's infrared instruments are a significant improvement over Hubble because they allow deep see clouds of gas and dust and reveal star-forming regions and other astrophysical regions.

When the images When the web first came out, there was almost a surprising amount of excitement, but now that novelty has worn off a bit as we've grown accustomed to seeing the universe in once-unprecedented detail.

But positioning Webb's images, along with the precious Hubble photos, are a great reminder of how technology has progressed and also underscore how our knowledge of the universe is only as good as the best of our technology.
