Software support for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is likely to end soon as it has been more than two years since its launch.

Redmi Note 9 is one of the most successful mid-range phones that Xiaomi has released so far. This phone was released to the Chinese market under the name of Redmi 10X 4G, and although it has been two years since its launch, its popularity among users is so high that it is still sold in all parts of the world.

But as it seems, users who tend to buy mid-range and budget phones may no longer see this product as a suitable choice because Xiaomi will soon stop supporting its software. According to a report published by the Xiaomiui website, apparently the MIUI user interface development team has stopped the process of designing the internal build of this interface for Redmi Note 9, and there is no longer going to be a software update for this phone.

This means Redmi Note 9 will no longer receive any major software updates including the new user interface or operating system, so that this product will be included in the category of Xiaomi products whose software support has stopped. Redmi Note 9 is a 6.53-inch phone with an LCD screen and a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, which uses the MediaTek Helio G85 chip as its beating heart. Also, the main camera of 48 megapixels, 3/4/6 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of internal memory and 5020 mAh battery are among other features of this product.

Redmi in 2020 this phone launched with the MIUI 11 user interface based on Android 10, and now that it has been two years since its launch, it has been updated to Android 11 and the MIUI 12 interface. Of course, after the aforementioned user interface, this phone also received its 12.5 and 12.5 Enhanced Edition versions, but not all users have access to Android 12 on it yet. Xiaomi has started the process of releasing the MIUI 13 user interface update based on Android 12 for this phone and a series of users have been able to access it, but the general users around the world have not yet received it and have to wait. This update will most likely be the last major update that the Redmi Note 9 will receive.

Xiaomi's policy regarding the Redmi Note 9 update has not been too bad. As a mid-range phone, it is in a very good condition with two Android versions and three user interface versions, but the point is that Xiaomi has updated it to a new interface and operating system very late. For example, Android 12 has not yet been released for this phone, but now Android 13 has been released in an official and stable form. Currently, Xiaomi is the only Chinese company that has a good situation in terms of software updates compared to many others. It does not have Chinese companies. A series of these companies have made significant progress in this regard in the last few years, such as OnePlus, which has even updated one of its phones to the stable version of Android 13. Now it remains to be seen whether Xiaomi will try to improve its situation in this field or not.
