Some time ago, one of the famous Chinese revealers announced that Qualcomm will introduce the Snapdragon 8 Generation 1 Plus chipset a little later than expected. He claimed that the delay in supply was due to problems related to the flare-up of the Corona crisis in China. But now the same revealer has backed down from this statement and wrote on the social network Weibo that apparently we will see the unveiling of this chip by the end of may (about 3 more weeks). It has also announced that the first handsets based on this chip will be released in June.

According to some rumors, it seems that the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra will be the first phone equipped with Snapdragon 8 Generation 1 Plus reach users. Apparently, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 clamshell phones and even the latest Oppo clamshell phone are going to benefit from this chip.

As you probably know, Qualcomm's flagship Plus chip models will be introduced soon Could not. But this year, due to the problems that Snapdragon 8 Generation 1 has, Qualcomm intends to deliver the Plus chip model to users sooner than usual. It is worth mentioning that Snapdragon 8 Generation 1 is produced by Samsung. Although Samsung has a significant share of the mobile chip market, many experts say that the chips produced by TSMC have more to say. There have been various reports about this chip overheating and high energy consumption. That's why Qualcomm decided to outsource the production of the Plus model to TSMC.

Overall, not much detail has been revealed about the features of the Plus model of this chip. But given the trend over the last few years, we will probably see a relatively faster pace for the X2 core, and we will not see a significant change in other features. Although the chip will not differ much from the standard model in terms of hardware as a whole, but thanks to the use of TSMC technology, it will probably perform much better in terms of energy consumption and heat than the conventional model.

According to these benchmarks, the Dimension 8000 is much better than the Snapdragon 7 both in terms of processor and GPU. It has 1st generation. Some Qualcomm fans now believe that this poor performance in the benchmarks is due to the fact that the software of the phone in question is not final. So we have to see in the coming weeks whether the performance of this chip will improve in the leaked benchmarks.
