The spacecraft carrying the Russian astronauts arrived at the International space station while the new crew was dressed in Ukrainian flag colors. A Russian Soyuz spacecraft carrying three Russian astronauts, Oleg Artemyev, Denis Matveev and Sergey Korsakov, on March 18 at 3 p.m. Twelve Eastern time zones (22:42 Friday, March 17) were connected to the space station's new module module. They were greeted by seven crew members of the Expedition 66 mission stationed at the station. The bright yellow space suits were covered with blue ribbons the color of the Ukrainian flag.

Wez was asked about the colors, and he stated that there was a lot of yellow cloth in stock.

However, not everyone agrees. Some who are aware of the space flight trend seem to think that this could be a sign of support for Ukraine, which was attacked by Russia on February 24. However, since the beginning of the tensions, the head of the Russian space Agency has repeatedly made threatening remarks about the fate of the space station.

The color of the Russian astronauts' clothing reflected a lot Former NASA astronaut Scott Kelly, who spent a year on the space station with Mikhail Kornienko from March 2015 to March 2016, tweeted in both Russian and English.

There is another possible explanation for these flying suits. Many people on Twitter, for example, have pointed out that the colors are similar to those of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, which Artemov, Matov, and Korsakov all attended.

All of this is speculation. The only thing we can rely on right now is Artimov's vague response to the greeting. However, it is hoped that one of the astronauts will provide more details in the not-too-distant future. Artimev was born in modern-day Latvia, Matoev is a St. Petersburg native, and Korsakov was born in present-day Kyrgyzstan.
