Last month, Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi A1 in India, which is based on Android Go. During the past weeks, many reports were published about Redmi A1 Plus, and now this phone has been officially unveiled. We should note that after the release of the Redmi Go phone in 2019, there have been reports of Xiaomi phones using Android Go in the last few years, but now it seems that the company has changed its approach.

As we expected. Apart from the presence of a fingerprint sensor on the back panel, this phone has no difference from the regular model. So once again we are faced with a 6.52-inch display that offers a resolution of 1600 x 720. The aspect ratio of this panel is 20:9 and its touch sampling rate reaches 120 Hz. We should also mention the maximum brightness of 400 nits and support for 70% of the NTSC color space.

Its beating heart is the Helio A22 chipset, which is accompanied by LPDDR4x RAM and internal memory based on eMMC 5.1 technology. Redmi A1 Plus comes with Android 12 Go version and it is powered by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 10W charging.

On the back panel we see an 8 megapixel main camera with a detection sensor. The depth accompanies it. You can also use the 5 megapixel camera for selfies. The body of this phone also has a microSD port and a headphone jack. The weight of this phone is 192 grams.

This phone is currently on its way to the Kenyan market, where users only have access to the 3.32 GB model. This model is sold for $85. It is said that this phone will go to other markets soon.
