Although the new version of Microsoft Surface Pro X will have the same processor as before, it will support 64-bit software and run Windows 11.
When Microsoft introduced the Surface Pro X in 2019, it promised to start something new for its two-in-one product line. Unfortunately, the limited compatibility of applications due to the ARM-based architecture and ARM-based Windows caused the ProX to never be what it used to be.
It can always be made with the company's original SQ1 chip or newer SQ2 chip. But Microsoft has introduced a Wi-Fi-only model that costs just $ 899. It does, and that means compatibility should be significantly improved.
This device will be available in models with 8 and 16 GB of RAM. The third-generation Surface Pro X is also available with Energy Star in some countries, including the United States, Switzerland, Taiwan, Japan and Canada. It may seem strange not to upgrade the Pro X hardware, but it should be noted that the company is probably planning to use this opportunity to bring SQ2 to its more affordable models.
The Surface Pro X is already one of the slimmest margins. Among other products in this series, so changing the margins in the new Surface model seems unlikely.
