Lucy's spacecraft is looking for a group of Trojan asteroids. These asteroids are fossil-like pieces that have survived since the formation of Jupiter, and the gas giant has placed them in two areas under its own gravitational protection.
From Earth, Trojan asteroids are only light units That's why NASA's $ 981 million Lucy mission is an attempt to study these planetary fossils up close.
