The Mercedes-Benz SL, introduced in 1952 by the W194 racing car, is now introduced for the 2022 model with a completely new platform developed by AMG. The seventh generation of this car will be available when available in the SL 55 and SL 63 versions, both of which are offered with four 4Matic + four-wheel drive and fully variable torque distribution.

Obviously, Mercedes-Benz will not follow this trend in the construction of its flagship cars, as the automaker offers plastic parts exclusively in commercial vehicles. Even A-Class cars are not cheaply decorated, and the president of the company said last year, "We should not compete with mass producers." But the company has announced that the new compact car will bring a lot to the audience.
Looking at the new SL, the R232 type shows a lot of changes compared to the R231. Launched under the Mercedes-Benz brand, the convertible sports car now has a tarpaulin and 2 + 2-top design. Active aerodynamics, MBUX infotainment system and attractive appearance are combined with a 4.0-liter V8 sports engine to form a prominent sports car.

The presence of the E-Performance model for the Mercedes-Benz GT 63 promises that a plug-in hybrid version is also being developed for the SL. Also known as the Modular Sport scar Architecture, or MSA, it will also be used by the next generation GT, which is only to be produced with a hard top.
