A massively potentially dangerous asteroid passes by Earth this week

A potentially dangerous giant asteroid, which may be twice the size of the Empire State Building, was unharmed on Thursday (April 28th), according to NASA. It passes close to Earth.

This asteroid, named 418135 (2008 AG33), has an approximate diameter of 350 to 780 meters and will enter Earth orbit at a speed of 37,400 kilometers per hour, but fortunately it is expected that this The asteroid will pass by our planet without any danger.

The asteroid moves around our planet almost once every seven years, and the next near transit is predicted to occur on May 25, 2029.

This transit asteroid on Thursday may not even be the largest space rock on Earth. The coming weeks will pass by us. This title probably reaches 467460 (2006 JF42), which has a diameter between 380 and 860 meters, and when it passes us on May 9, 2022 (May 19, 1401), it will have a speed of about 40700 kilometers per hour.

If astronomers detect a sign of an asteroid moving directly toward Earth, they will try to counter it. Space agencies around the world are currently working on ways to deflect space objects. Launched, it intends to divert a non-dangerous asteroid from its original orbit.
