As the leaked photos show, the next generation of the small Mazda 2 car to be launched in the 2023 model still looks similar. Toyota will have the Yaris.
The Mazda 2, known as the Demio in Japan until 2019, is now set to make some progress. The third generation of this car was introduced in 2014 and compared to other small compact cars, it looked a bit old. But now while Mazda is looking to produce the next generation, it looks like it will still be similar to the Toyota Yaris like the 2022 model.
Given that the Mazda logo on this test car is not very well covered and its winged M design is easy to see, we can get acquainted with its new look. The front of the car is the same, and it shows well that the Mazda 2D will be similar to the Toyota Yaris Hybrid. A model based on the Toyota Yaris THS hybrid system was mentioned to be able to comply with strict European pollution regulations.
Considering that the new Mazda 2 is a few months old. It was pre-introduced, it will probably take some time for Mazda to introduce the next generation of its smallest car. Final improvements will include a more efficient 1.5-liter gasoline engine and the reintroduction of the 115-horsepower engine alongside the 75- and 90-horsepower engines.
Although the Yaris GR has a three-door layout, the new Mazda 2 is expected to be available exclusively with five doors. Toyota is expected to be the basis for a similar crossover, but Mazda is unlikely to follow suit because the company has a wide range of crossover options.
Toyota with Suzuki It has a similar contract, which allows the company to build the Swace and Across chassis cars, respectively, based on the Corolla and RAV4 plug-in hybrid vehicles.
