The iPhone 12 Mini did not sell well, but the iPhone 12 Pro Max, unlike the iPhone 12 Mini, was well received by Apple users. Earlier this year, CIRP analysts' figures showed that Apple's largest and most expensive iPhone definitely sold more than the company's smallest (and cheapest) iPhone. If Apple decides to replace its mini model in the iPhone 14 series with a larger model, it should be right. A larger, lower-priced model should sell well, even if it loses the iPhone Pro Max camera hardware.
The iPhone 14 Max, which will probably be introduced under this name, should have a 6.7-inch screen similar to the iPhone Pro Max, unless it comes with the specifications of the iPhone 14 and a 6.1-inch display. In fact, it is possible that the two phones will use the same panels, as Apple is expected to use 120Hz LTPO OLED panels on all four iPhone models.
Is this the end of the iPhone Mini era? As an almost special device, this may not be the end of iPhones under 6 inches. It looks like a new iPhone SE is on the way and the 2020 model will have the same dimensions as the iPhone Mini. If Apple shrinks the edges of the screen a bit and uses a larger screen, the new iPhone SE can fix the big flaw of the iPhone Mini, which is the small size of the screen. This iPhone model probably won't use the latest chipset or the best cameras, but a cheaper price could improve sales of small handsets.
However, the iPhone 14 series should have a fairly large design. This can be clearly seen in the renderings published by Processer Twitter. Apple is expected to replace the fingerprint sensor (possibly on the side and on the power button) and the selfie camera display hole. Of course, the Apple Watch 7 Series renderings did not match the actual product. Therefore, it is better to assume that the iPhone 14 will not be like its renderings. Especially since we are basically a full year away from the release of the iPhone 14, and during this period, more news and possible images of the iPhone 14 series will definitely be released.
