MIUI's user interface is one of the most important features of Xiaomi phones. This user interface has a lot to say in terms of various features, but on the other hand, some users are not happy with it. Once upon a time, this user interface was very similar to iOS, and although the similarities between the two have long since diminished, we still can not ignore some of Xiaomi's strange design choices and capabilities. Fortunately, many of MIUI issues and bugs can be fixed, and here are some of the most important issues with this interface.
Combination of notifications and quick settings
In recent versions of MIUI, the notifications section and the quick settings section have been separated. Specifically, scrolling down from the top left will bring up notifications, and if you do so from the top right, the quick settings menu will appear.
Many users expect to have access to notifications in addition to the Quick Settings section. Fortunately, you can easily reset these settings. To do this, go to settings> notifications and control center> control center style and select the old version option.
Scan the mobile when installing new apps
One of the weird problems with Xiaomi MIUI is when you want to install a new app. For example, if you download an app from the Play Store, you will see a system scan page when you install it. It should be noted that some Xiaomi phones also display ads in this environment. Since all Android phones with Google services use the Google Play Protect feature, such a feature is completely useless.
To disable this feature, go to security> settings> security scan and scan before Disable installation.
Battery optimization troubles
Xiaomi, like many other companies, is trying to increase the battery life of its phones through software. However, this feature can lead to the closure of applications in the background and delays in receiving notifications. Fortunately, you can also fix the problem by going to the MIUI settings.
To do this, go to settings> battery and then in the upper part again on the battery option next to the battery tap saver. In this section, you must select the app battery saver option and then tap on the app you want. There are several options on this page, but if you want to remove the restrictions for the app, you must select the no restrictions option. Always be active in the background to avoid notifications, remove this restriction.
Avoid displaying ads
Xiaomi was one of the first major companies to display ads on its handsets and market them at a reasonable price. However, in recent years, due to widespread protests against this measure, Xiaomi has significantly reduced the display of ads on many of its phones.
To disable MIUI ads on Xiaomi phones, go to settings> Go to passwords and security> authorization and revocation and then disable the MSA option. Also, if you want to stop displaying ads in the default applications of Xiaomi phones, you must go to the settings of each of these apps and disable the option related to ads.
Activate app drawer
Many Xiaomi phones do not have the app drawer feature by default. Of course, when launching this phone, the user will be asked about this feature, but if you do not pay attention to it, this feature is not enabled by default. To activate it, just activate the option with app drawer in settings> home screen> home screen. But if your phone has an old MIUI and does not offer such a feature, you can download Poco Launcher from the Play Store. It should be noted that Poco phones were launched with the app drawer from the very beginning.
