Although Android 13 has just been released for Pixel phones, Google has also given us a clue of when Android 14 will be released.

This year, Google has released Android 13 for its phones a little earlier than last year. This happened in the middle of this month, while many expected the company to release the new update in October, when it plans to unveil the Pixel 7 series phones. However, this update is now officially available to Pixel users, but those users who are members of the QPR Android beta program can receive and experience Android 13 seasonal updates immediately after they are released.

QPR, or Quarterly Pixel Feature Drop, is an update that Google releases every three months to users who are members of the beta program, and during which, it offers a series of new features for its phones. Users also send necessary feedback to the company by receiving them early. If you are also a member of this program, keep in mind that beta version updates usually bring many problems with them, and on the other hand, leaving the beta program will probably force you to erase your device data completely.

Google recently updated the Android beta program page and announced that from September 2022, the release process Will start QPR update. The interesting thing is that Google has also mentioned on this page when the QPR Android 13 update release process will end. Even for the first time, the name of Android 14 has been mentioned. This gives us a clue of the possible release date of the Android 14 beta version. In the FAQ section, it is stated that "the QPR Android 13 update will be released by March 2023, and after that, we will see the release of the Android 14 beta". It will continue until June 2023. But this period of time is less compared to what we see now on the official Android update page, so that this company has enough space to release different versions of the Android 14 beta. If the QPR Android 13 update lasted until June, Google would probably have to release the Android 14 beta for its phones at the same time, which is not going to happen. The end of the QPR Android 13 update release in March means that most likely the first Android 14 beta update should be officially released in April. If you remember, the first beta thread of Android 13 was made available to users exactly in April (of course, the developer version was released in February and March). Therefore, Google apparently does not want to make a change in its plans for the release of the new operating system.

Although Google has officially announced the start of the QPR Android 13 update release process and its end time, it cannot be said with certainty that the beta Android 14 will be available in April. It remains to be seen whether Google will confirm this in the future.
