In the next test, which was recently conducted and is very important, the Pixel 7 Pro was tested in playing games. This phone uses Tensor G2 chip as the beating heart. A chip that has had a series of changes in the type of cores compared to the previous generation, so that instead of two Cortex-A76 cores, it now has two Cortex-A78 cores with a frequency of 2.35 GHz, along with two Cortex-X1 cores with a frequency of 2.85 GHz which provides higher processing capability. It also uses four Cortex-A55 cores whose frequency reaches 1.8 GHz.

Although this hardware combination looks powerful in appearance, it was not able to defeat the Snapdragon 888 in practice, and it even got a lower score than the Poco F3, which uses the Snapdragon 870 chip as its beating heart. Google's flagship phone was able to achieve an average score of 37.2 in this game test (Genshin Impact game). Meanwhile, iPhone 14 Pro Max with A16 chip scores 58.4 fps, Xiaomi 12S Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Plus 1st generation chip scores 57.7 fps, and Redmi K50 Pro with Dimension 9000 processor scores 52 9 frames per second are considered to be among the best phones in this test.

Pixel 7 Pro did not compensate for this weakness in processing power with optimal performance, as we saw in this test in terms of performance stability from competitors. It has a weaker performance. Unlike the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which has a very strong start, but after a while, the Pixel 7 Pro with the Tensor G2 chip has performed poorly in all gaming-related conditions. In other words, you only need to play with it for 30 seconds to get the frame rate from 59 to 40 frames per second (this is what we saw in the Pixel 7 Pro test).

The result of this The resulting test shows that the Pixel 7 series with Tensor G2 chip does not seem to be a suitable option for gaming. At least this is what we have noticed right now and according to the test done with the game Genshin Impact on the Pro model. Now, with the passage of time and receiving software updates, whether their stability will increase or not is a question that we have to wait for the answer.
