The Galaxy S22 Fan Edition and S23 may be offered with the same Exynos chips instead of MediaTek

BingMag.com The Galaxy S22 Fan Edition and S23 may be offered with the same Exynos chips instead of MediaTek

It looks like Samsung is going to use the same proprietary chips for the Galaxy S22 Fan Edition and the Galaxy S23 series instead of MediaTek chips.

It was announced a few days ago that Samsung may use a MediaTek chip for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 Fan Edition phones. As you know, MediaTek has really advanced in the field of chip production and now with its 9000 dimensionality, it is unrivaled in the market of flagship chips in the field of processing and not graphics. The company's high-end 8XXX Dimension Series chips are also so good that they are even more stable and better at gaming than Apple's Snapdragon 8 Generation 1 and M1.

So Samsung's decision seemed a bit logical. On the one hand, Qualcomm considers the price of its chips to be very high, and on the other hand, their power is lower compared to MediaTek's manufacturing models these days. Samsung, which is not at all interesting at all, because the Exynos literally perform poorly and can not be counted on at all compared to other processors. So almost all of the evidence was in the direction of believing that MediaTek would be the main processor supplier for Samsung's next-generation handsets.

Use the popular Exynos in your expected handsets. At the outset, some domestic sources said that the Korean company was unlikely to reach out to MediaTek at a high level, despite Exynos chips, and that this news seemed to be more true than the previous news. At present, Qualcomm's powerful chips, or rather the flagships of the company such as Snapdragon 8 Generation 1, will never be used in Samsung phones that enter the global market. Rather, Samsung only considers them for specific markets such as China and the United States.

Other people around the world are forced to use the company's Exynos chip phones and have no other logical way to buy better models. This is something that we can definitely say has a negative impact on the global sales of the company's products, because when I buy a phone, I personally try to buy products that are not Exynos chips. Especially since the Exynos 990, which brought disgrace to Samsung, the Exynos have never been able to catch up with their Qualcomm counterparts.

Currently, 20% of Samsung phones are equipped with Exynos proprietary chips. The Korean company wants to increase this to 60%. So it's very strange to see the Galaxy S22 Fan Edition or the Galaxy S23 series equipped with MediaTek chips, because not only will the percentage not go up, but only Samsung's chip supplier will change from Qualcomm to MediaTek. Although the Dimension 9000 is really a bit of a chip, it does not make us think that Samsung prefers it to its Exynos chips. Although some of the company's mid-range and budget handsets are equipped with MediaTek chips, the Taiwanese company is unlikely to be able to supply the chips needed for Samsung's high-end handsets. Many whistleblowers have repeatedly denied the rumors, believing that not only will this not happen, but that Samsung will not equip any of its high-end handsets with MediaTek chips. At least that will not happen right now.

Samsung now wants to change its chip policy a bit and has even reportedly decided to make chips that can only be used on Galaxys. Similar to what Apple does. It remains to be seen whether this new policy will pave the way for the Korean company to succeed and sell more flagships in global markets, or fail again, like the Exynos project after several years of unsuccessful efforts.

MediaTek and Qualcomm chips, or do you think a bright future awaits the company?
