BOE produces up to 15-inch OLED displays for Apple's future iPads

According to Korean website The Elec, Apple supplier BOE recently set up a factory in China to produce larger OLED displays for non-devices. It has made changes to smartphones, including tablets and computers. The report claims that BOE is likely to supply OLED displays for future iPads after becoming the supplier of iPhone 13 displays last year.

The company will be able to produce 15-inch screens, but it remains to be seen whether Apple plans to launch a 15-inch iPad in the future. In June 2021 (June 1400), Mark Gorman of Bloomberg said that Apple had considered the idea of iPads with larger screens, but he said it would not be available any time soon.

The report further added that the BOE plant will be able to produce OLED displays with two layers of red, green and blue, which can lead to brighter displays in Be the future of iPads. It remains to be seen, however, whether the BOE will be successful in commercializing these panels due to the complexity of the technology. As you probably know, Apple intends to use LG and BOE companies to supply the screens of the iPhone 14 Series, as was the case with the screens of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini. In fact, Apple has been trying to break away from Samsung's monopoly on the iPhone's OLED display for some time. Add 120Hz to this combination to reduce the cost of your iPhone screen. Next year, BOE is expected to increase its share of iPhone display production to 20 percent of the estimated 200 million units that Apple needs. The BOE is expected to supply about 15 million panels to Apple this year, up from 45 million in 2022.

It should be noted that part of the series displays The iPhone 14 will be a huge success for both LG and BOE, and will also generate a lot of revenue for these companies. In the meantime, this will reduce Apple's dependence on Samsung, and as a result, increase its bargaining power for the pricing of these panels. As you may have seen in the news, Apple's new handsets will be available with a screen-based design.

Prior to a recent report by Mark Gorman, Korean website The Elec claimed that the iPhone 14 The Pro and 14 Pro Max have a screen-based design instead of a notch. Even Ming Chi Koo claims that the iPhone 14 models have a screen-based design. It remains to be seen what news of the new products of the American technology giant will be published in cyberspace in the coming days.
