Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed these plans in a meeting with Apple engineers and employees in Germany, which was also held during his recent trip across Europe. The CEO of Apple explained that around 2024, they will produce part of the chips needed for their products in the Arizona factory. It is also possible that some of the company's production will be done in Europe, as more factories are currently being built in that region.

Apple's CEO said in this regard: "We have already decided. Buy a factory in Arizona and that factory will be up and running in 2024, so we're about two years away or maybe less. I am confident that in Europe and as this program becomes more obvious, we will source part of our chips from future factories in this region."

Eddie Q, Apple's service manager and Dear O'Brien, head of retail and human resources of this company, were also present in this meeting. Although Cook did not provide more details about moving chip production to the United States and Europe, he is likely referring to a factory that TSMC is currently building in Arizona.

Taiwanese chipmaker TSMC is the exclusive supplier of Apple processors and the American technology giant uses flagship A-series chips and M-series chips in all its products. As reported by Bloomberg, the TSMC factory in China is scheduled to be launched in 2024. The Taiwanese chip manufacturing company has announced that the said factory will start its activities with the production of processors based on 5 nm lithography, which is at least one generation behind the technology used in Apple products.
