According to a new report, Apple's first headset with the ability to scan eyes for identity verification is going to the market. Thanks to this feature, several users can use the same headset and will be able to use different accounts and pay online just by scanning their eyes.

For eye scanning, internal cameras track the direction of the user's gaze. and eye tracking also allows Apple to use less hardware power for graphics processing. It is said that the German startup SensoMotoric Instruments, which was acquired by Apple in 2017, made the use of this technology possible.

This report states that Apple's first headset uses 14 cameras, and for comparison, we should say that The Quest Pro headset uses 10 cameras. In this headset, two headphones are installed in the lower part to monitor the movements of the user's feet. Meanwhile, the Quest Pro headset does not use such a feature. Apple's headset is said to be slimmer and lighter than the latest Meta headset, making it easier to use.

Also, Apple has paid attention to people who wear glasses and these people can put their desired medical lenses in the inner part of the screen so that they don't have any problems to use the headset. A small screen is installed on the outside of this headset so that other people can see the user's eyes and eyebrows. Some experts have expressed concern about the increase in energy consumption due to the presence of this display, but this report states that the display in question consumes very little energy due to its low refresh rate.

Finally, according to this report, It seems that some of the leaked features of the Apple headset will not be included in the final model. It is said that we will see the unveiling of this headset in early 2023, and by then more information will undoubtedly be revealed.
