Apple has not abandoned the development of wireless chargers similar to AirPower and remote charging

According to Bloomberg News, Apple is still working on a wireless charger similar to AirPower, which offers the ability to charge multiple gadgets simultaneously. The report states that Apple has not yet abandoned the idea of making such a charger that users can use to charge gadgets such as iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPads at the same time.

To note, Apple in September 2017 unveiled the AirPower wireless charger alongside the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. According to Apple, the charger was supposed to arrive in 2018, but it did not happen. Finally, after months of delays and rumors, Apple announced in 2019 that due to technical problems and complexities, this charger could not meet the company's expectations and therefore its production was completely canceled.

Apple unveiled Magsif technology for wireless charging of iPhones, along with Magsif Duo charger, which can charge the Apple Watch and iPhone at the same time. Of course, the Magus Duo is actually two separate chargers that, thanks to their connection to each other, can charge two gadgets at the same time. In any case, if this Bloomberg report is true, Apple intends to implement the idea of AirPower in a similar product so that Apple users can put their 3 gadgets on the company's wireless charger.

In addition to this project, Apple experts are apparently working on various solutions to implement wireless and remote charging technology to do so. No need to make calls between the gadget and the charger. The report states that Apple executives have in mind a future in which each of the company's important products will be able to charge each other. This means that the iPad should be able to charge an iPhone, and the iPhone should be able to charge gadgets such as the AirPad and the Apple Watch. This feature has not been implemented. Simply put, this feature allows users to wirelessly charge gadgets such as the Apple Watch on the back panel of the iPhone. Of course, the speed of this technology is very low and it is mostly used in emergencies. We have to see if the iPhone 14 will hit the market with this feature or not.
