CD Projekt RED has just announced that support for Cyberpunk 2077 will go beyond just its expansion pack.

Also As you know, Cyberpunk 2077's first expansion pack called Phantom Liberty has been officially unveiled recently, and according to reports, it will be the only expansion pack for the game, which is scheduled to be available in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. Now, during a new press conference, the studio's executives were asked to provide more details about their strategy for the development of Cyberpunk 2077.

Micha Nowakowski, the studio's vice president of business development said:

Regarding how Cyberpunk 2077 will expand, we decided to create a large expansion pack for the game that takes advantage of all the features of the new generation consoles. However, we are fully committed to We look forward to further developing the Cyberpunk IP beyond this particular expansion pack. We have put a lot of effort and time into making this IP and we definitely want to continue with new stories, experiences and content, not just in the form of a video game. CD Project Red claimed in April that the game has sold more than 18 million copies since its release in December 2020. The next-gen version of the game was released in February 2022, and the studio recently announced that it has achieved satisfactory sales figures, especially for the console versions. In the meantime, it should be mentioned that the recently released Edgerunners update will be the last major update of the game for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Phantom Liberty has been released on 8th generation consoles, as releasing it for these consoles is challenging for technical reasons and it might spoil the player experience. Aside from the game and its expansion pack, CD Projekt RED has been involved as a producer on the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime since 2018. This anime, which will be shown on Netflix soon, was created by Trigger Studio.
