A major remake of Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio is under construction

Sega has recently announced its new and famous project "Super Game"; A project consisting of AAA multi-platform games. In addition to being developed on Unreal Engine 5, these games will be released simultaneously with an emphasis on being online and available worldwide. Now, according to a new report, it seems that making new and remastered versions of the Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio game series with a large budget is part of this project.
In fact, it has been said that the new version of Crazy Taxi It has been under development for over a year, and Sega is looking forward to launching it two or three years from now. On the other hand, sources have pointed out that both this game and the new version of Jet Set Radio are still in the early stages of production and their production process may be stopped at any time. A Sega spokesman said the company could not comment on the games at this time.
It is natural that the future of games will expand with new
areas such as cloud services and NFT. We are also developing Super
Game in terms of how well the different games in the project can
relate to each other.
Crazy Taxi is a racing-style series created by the
Hitmaker team and Published by Sega. The first game in the series
was released on arcade devices in 1999, and was so successful that
the company released an arcade version of it on the Dreamcast
console in 2000. Jet Set Radio is an action
game developed by Smilebit Studios in 2000 and released by Sega for
Dreamcast. The player controls a member of a young gang who skate
in Tokyo to challenge rival gangs and escape agents. Both series,
although attractive, never achieved much commercial
success.
However, these reports are still not officially confirmed, and if these games are under development, we probably will not see them released any time soon.
