Konami is considering reviving Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania and Silent Hill

While Konami has been away from making big console games for a relatively long time, there have been numerous rumors about a revival for several years. The return of some of the most popular and important works of this company can be heard. The latest rumor that seems to be true is that the games of Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill are back.

On the one hand, Konami has destroyed the old PES game series this year, but on the other hand According to a new report from VGC, there seems to be a serious determination to revive its other popular games.

The first work that VGC mentions is a new game from Castlevania. The source explains that this work is a revision of the collection and is to be produced domestically by Konami in Japan. Of course, Konami is getting help from other foreign Japanese studios to make this work. Given that we have seen products related to this series over the years, including the anime broadcast by Netflix, such a decision can be quite logical.

The second work that this site mentions is Metal Gear Solid. Rumors have been circulating for some time that BluePoint Games Studio, recently acquired by Sony, is making a remake of one of the Metal Gear Solid series. However, according to the initial report of VGC, this news is not true. If we take into account the words of the director of BluePoint Games, who recently said that their studio is creating an original and fresh content, we can be more sure of this statement.

However, the reconstruction of Metal Gear Solid is not going to be related to the first part. Instead, according to this news, this project will be done with the focus on the reconstruction of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It was first announced that the project would be run by an Asian studio, albeit a non-Japanese one. After the initial report, more sources said that the project is to be developed by the famous Singaporean studio Virtuos. Virtuos is a large studio that has partnered with many well-known big game studios as well as released major game ports. On the other hand, VGC states that Konami intends to release a remastered version of Metal Gear Solid before the release. Release a major remake made by Virtuos. . The interesting thing is that they claim that this remake was originally supposed to be made with the Fox Engine game engine, but the idea of making a game with this game engine did not come to fruition and the production studio has moved to another game engine.

Exciting news, however, does not end here. Perhaps the most exciting news comes from the Gematsu site. The site also emphasizes that it has heard that a Silent Hill game will be developed by a leading Japanese developer. However, Gematsu claims that according to a reliable source who wishes to remain anonymous, Kojima Production Studio is in fact the same prominent Japanese studio. The source also stated that the game was funded by Sony. Maybe this is how the fans will finally get what they want.

Of course, VGC points out that they did not mean Kojima Production, but Gematsu is also a credible source of news about Japanese games. However, some of these statements may not be true and they may all be true. Maybe VGC didn't know what Gematsu heard, or maybe Gematsu misunderstood some details. For now, the only thing that can answer our questions is the passage of time.
