If you enjoyed the RPG and Souls-like elements of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, there is good news for you. The Team Ninja studio has recently unveiled the first expansion pack of this game called Trials of the Dragon King.
Players who purchased the Stranger of Paradise Season Pass for $30 will receive this package. They will get the expansion as well as two future packs, Wanderer of the Rift and Different Future, at no extra cost. No specific details of Trials of the Dragon King have been released yet, but it generally includes new missions, weapons, accessories, and a new batch of equipment, as well as new areas, stories, and challenges. It should be noted that there is no way to purchase this package separately. The release of this package shared a brief trailer of it. The trailer apparently focuses on two confrontations, one with the Warrior of Light and the other with the king of dragons, Bahamut. The trailer even gives a brief look at the game's fast-paced gameplay, where the main characters face off against both opponents.
It should be said that the game's first expansion
pack also has a direct reference to the first game in
the Final Fantasy RPG series. In fact, this is what Stranger
of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is based on. In the first
edition of Final Fantasy, players must prove their mettle by
retrieving the Rat's Tail from Ordeal Castle. This story element is
notably absent from Stranger of Paradise, but it looks like
the aforementioned expansion pack is going to give it
