After much rumor, Ubisoft has finally unveiled the new Assassin's Creed Vallaha add-on pack called Dawn of Ragnarok. According to the publisher, this add-on pack is the most ambitious expander in the history of the series and tells the story of Ivar trying to save his son.
Dawn of Ragnarok will be released on March 10, 2022. As a separate product for Assassin's Creed owners, it will be available on eighth and ninth generation Xbox, PlayStation and PC consoles. The package also comes with a Ubisoft Plus subscription and will be priced at $ 40, according to the PlayStation Store page. On the other hand, as you might expect, it will not be in the post-season. Of course, this chapter includes two expansion packs, Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris. In fact, when the post-season was unveiled, Ubisoft did not even announce that the game would receive content after its first year of release, so this is not surprising.
The Dawn of Ragnarok cinematic trailer details a new scenario. In this scenario, Ivar enters a world created by a war between flame and ice warriors. The trailer shows an ice wall dipping its icy fist into another warrior, as well as his son, who appears to be chained in a fire prison. "Unleash new divine powers as you embark on a frustrating mission in a breathtaking world," says Ubisoft. The company also introduced a collection of crossover stories. One of these stories tells the story of Cassandra, the protagonist of Assassin's Creed Odyssey. His presence will bring new content to the Valhala and Edisi versions. "Cassandra's presence is part of a crossover that spans both games," Ubisoft said. The core players of Creed Addis will receive a new free story called Those Who Are Treasured, in which Cassandra or Alexius, who found the immortal staff of Hermes Trismagistus at the end of the game, travel to the island of Corfu and struggle with the question: What to do with their longevity. A story in Valhala's A Fated Encounter takes Ivar to the Isle of Skye in Scotland, where he meets Cassandra.
Ubisoft has announced that these stories will be available as part of a free upgrade for both games. It should be noted that if players want to experience new content in Valhalla, they will have to re-download a whole new version of the game, although the game will take up less storage space after that. The new update will now bring technical improvements, a new difficulty mode, crossover stories, and more. Ubisoft also announced that Odyssey has received a new update that, in addition to new stories, will include ports as a mechanism for traveling to different areas of the game.
Xbox, PlayStation and PC are available.
