The creator of Dead or Alive will also make NFT-based games

Tomonobu Itagaki is a famous Japanese game designer who is probably best known for creating the Dead or Alive game series as well as the game reboot. Known as Ninja Theory, he recently announced his new studio, Apex Game Studios, which is currently developing an NFT-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) called Warrior for mobile and PC. Someone will develop it.
Itagaki announced the news on his official Twitter account, explaining that Apex Game Studio is dedicated to developing top-notch, interactive Web 3.0 games. Web 3.0 is a term that includes (often controversial) technologies such as blockchain and NFT.

The game is slated for release in the first quarter of next year. Unfortunately, not many details of the game have been released at the moment, and the official website mainly deals with the economic details of NFT's implementation in the Warrior core. There are over 100 types of monsters (known as Mob Servants) that can be summoned to help during battle. It also has a special system for trading and trading that allows players to trade almost all assets through tokens called Warrior Diamond Tokens.
Following the release of Warrior early next year, Apex games will gradually introduce new Player Versus Environment (PVE) and Player Versus Player (PVP) gameplay to enhance the experience, according to its official development roadmap. The game will launch its token circulation and empowerment. Subsequent updates will gradually implement a multi-chain framework to increase the penetration and liquidity of Warrior's existing assets, and will gradually improve and expand the gameplay to make this game a quality project that is both fun and capital-oriented, and can compete in the long term. Such games should remain stable.
In a part of the statement published by Itagaki, he stated that Apex Game Studio is also interested in developing games based on the Metaverse in addition to developing games based on blockchain and NFT.

Itagaki split from Tecmo in 2008 and has since released Devil's Third for the Wii U in 2015, to very poor reviews. He announced last year that he was starting a new studio, but at the time he explained that he wanted to focus on teaching, but now he wants to get back to making video games and has started a company to do so. Although the project he is developing may not be the one the players expected.
