Battlefield 2042 did not have the best release possible, and Dice Studios is working hard to address many of the problems that players have faced since the release of this online shooting game. Face it, fix it. Now it looks like with the release of the first season of the game in early 2022, we will see new content.
One of the things that will be added to the game is a new map called Exposure. In an interview, Electronic Arts unveiled plans to add a new map to the game in 2022, announcing that the map would be at a new level than other maps. No details are currently available about the map and its release date. On the other hand, the game later this month will allow players to experience Breakthrough and Conquest modes on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series with a maximum of 64 players. It should be noted that so far there has been no talk about whether these changes will eventually become a constant in the game or not.
These changes are significant because, as you probably know, the
64-player limit is limited to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4
versions, bringing the total to 128 players on next-generation PCs
and consoles. Many players have criticized the large number of
players and the large size of the maps, not Only because of
the uncontrolled chaos it creates, but also because several areas
of the large maps eventually feel empty and there is no particular
conflict. Electronic Arts has big plans for the Battlefield
series and recently announced plans to develop a multi-studio model
to develop multiple games in a larger, more interconnected world.
As part of the plans, Dice CEO Oscar Gabrielson is set to leave the
company, while Vince Zampla, co-founder of Respawn & Infinity
Studios Ward, will take on a new role as general manager of
the Battlefield series. Rumor has it that the next game in
the series is set to be a hero shooter. On the other hand, it is
not clear whether this game will be from the Battlefield
series or not. Hilo designer Marcus Lito is also leading a
new studio in Seattle that aims to add a more meaningful
narrative to the Battlefield series.
Battlefield 2042 is now available on eighth and ninth generation Xbox consoles, PlayStation and PC. The latest update released for the game has brought improvements to the technical aspects and changes to the weapons for the game. However, the latest version of the popular Battlefield shooting series is struggling with issues that will take more time to improve.
