The "Yaghi" series performed so brilliantly at the beginning of its story that the audience's expectations from this work were officially raised. Before this series, Mohammad Kart was able to have a bright face in the eyes of the public and critics with the movie "Butterfly Swimming". Also, a short documentary called "Child Eater" is considered one of the other outstanding works of this artist and director. Mohammad Kart has a history of acting in several projects, but what made us expect more from Mohammad Kart is his art of directing. The art that seems to be not so powerful for the "Yaghi" series.

Crime genre has not yet progressed as it should in Iran; That means, officially, we still don't have a work in home theater productions that can compete with Hollywood works with the same quality. The story of "Yaghi" series is taken from a novel called "Salto" written by Mehdi Afroozmanesh. However, Kart has played an active role in writing the script of the series "Rebel". Along with Hossein Domari and Pedram Pouramiri, he has focused more on the events of the story and the rhythm of the narration. With all these interpretations, the series "Yaghi" gradually gets involved in flaws and mistakes that are not only strange for the viewer, but also doubt the art of storytelling and directing by Mohammad Kart. These defects and mistakes are summarized in three categories: rhythm, logic, and characterization.

1. The rhythm of "Yaghi" series

The first flaw in the narration of "Yaghi" story is summed up in the rhythm of the story. Part of the problem of the narration speed of the series' vital events is probably due to the budget of this project. However, it is not yet clear exactly why the home network is not interested in making more seasons of their newcomer series. Are we to think that home theater networks are still in trial and error to find their target audience? If this issue is accepted, the strategy of networks like Filmo should finally be changed and several seasons should be considered for some popular series like "Yaghi". If this happens, the problem of rhythm will be significantly reduced.

The rhythm of "Yaghi" series seemed desirable and acceptable at the beginning, but with Javid's entry into wrestling matches, the story's narrative speed It brings the audience with the story more quickly. With the arrival of Javed in Hungary, this speed not only does not improve, but also worsens. The narrative of "Yaghi" is similar to a car that suddenly starts going down a slope with too much acceleration. Definitely, the ending of "Yaghi" series must collect the flood of events correctly, otherwise the twenty episodes of the story will not give the viewer a good experience and feeling.

2. The logic of the story of "Yaghi" series

At the beginning, Mohammad Kart tried to create the atmosphere and story bases correctly. be arranged Also, measures were taken so that the audience could communicate with Javid. At the beginning of the story, we meet a naive, good-hearted and somewhat ignorant (!) youth who only thinks about reaching his love, Abra. At all, the foundation of story events is laid on the basis of this love. Javed did not hold back from anything to reach Abra and he will do anything to make his love happy. However, how is it that in the middle of the story, after Javid's trip to Hungary, Javid suddenly changes one hundred and eighty degrees? Javed had to change because this happened only in the novel?

Javed's feeling towards Bahman Khan who saved him from Essi Qalak and his sky-high life is completely restored. How can Javed be so compassionate towards Hope who is a stranger? Javed, who is one step away from reaching the sky, why should he put himself in trouble for a dead person and try to scandalize Bahman and Tala? On the other hand, why does Bahman Khan, who thinks he is clever in both worlds, trust his wife Tala? Bahman repeatedly tells Javed and others that no one should be trusted; Then he gets help from gold for one of his most ambitious projects. That's right after the incident of Shiva pouring clean water on the hands of their partner. Tala did not know about his father's murder, but Bahman Khan knew about the ins and outs of the story. How could Bahman still live under the same roof with gold after hearing Shiva's words? How come he didn't appoint an agent to track and monitor him? Worse than all these issues, we should mention Omid's stupid behavior, which was very naively arrested by Tala and Rahman and easily killed as completely as possible. There are so many mistakes and irrational behavior of the characters that it is not possible to raise all the questions in this note. Assuming that the original novel had such flaws, wouldn't it be better for Mohammad Kart and Pedram Pouramiri to try harder to resolve these ambiguities? The most important problem of the makers of "Yaghi" series lies in the fact that they did not assume the audience to be intelligent.

3. Characterization of "Yaghi" series

Part of character characterization has to do with how involved they are in important story events. For example, in the beginning, it is not bad to mention Rahman; an almost half-sane character (!) who is obedient and a slave to his brother Bahman. Mehdi Hosseininia has tried a lot to play the role of Rahman and his acting skills should be admired for some sequences. However, in some incidents, Rahman's behavior contradicts the character that is introduced to the viewer. For example, the death of Rahman's apprentice monkey, instead of being related to another important event, creates a caricature situation around Rahman's character, which lacks importance and any exchange of emotional charge from the audience's point of view. On the other hand, how does Rahman listen with all his heart to what Bahman says? How can he, who easily kills for the love of his brother, be indifferent to the consequences of his actions? This group of problems and ambiguities, along with the lack of logic in various sequences, makes us consider Rahman's characterization in the "Yaghi" series to be incomplete. On the other hand, we see Bahman and Akbar Majalal in another side of the story, who fall into each other's lives. Majal has better characterization than other small and big characters in the story. To be fair, Farhad Aslani does not do little in portraying the character of a scary and ruthless criminal, but the majesty of Akbar Majalal is still not flawless. After learning a part of the truth, Majal immediately takes action to torture and kill Bahman, but just when the talk of the arrival of cocaine in large quantities is brought forward, Majal changes his behavior. The person who, in his own opinion, was going to set fire to the whole of Tehran because of his daughter, after hearing a few sentences, his anger subsides as easily as possible. Having said that, how should the audience consider Akbar Majalal as an extremely impressive criminal? Should we accept that Tala really fell in love with Bahman? In this case, how can he be easily intrigued by Shima's words and secretly try to exhume the grave of what happened 13 years ago? This question is also raised, why Tala did not suspect Bahman before the incident of Shima? If this point is supposed to be the weakness of the novel, Mohammad Kart could have tried to show Tala as a light-hearted and whimsical person in the "Yaghi" series, not an arrogant, self-satisfied and mysterious person. At least in this case, the attributes that Shima attributes to gold were somewhat consistent with the character that the viewer sees in front of the camera. Gold's preoccupations at the beginning of the series suddenly change towards the end of the story. Tala officially turns a blind eye to everything, and in the final episodes, we watch a version of Tala's character in the story that is completely alien to his initial version. In the end, which version of Gold should the viewer connect with? It has Catalyst, a character with a very bad characterization. Of course, in this story, Niki Karimi does not present such an important and praiseworthy performance. Having spent several years in one of the worst foreign prisons, upon entering Iran, he should have taken the necessary measures for revenge with much more tact and frost. Shima's strange plan to take revenge on Gold and Avalanche could have been much more malicious than what was seen in the story. If Mohammad Kart considered the adaptation of Azadi from the story of the novel for the series, one of the best scenarios for revenge would be nothing but exposing the truth to Gold and sitting in a corner and watching the war and controversy between Bahman and Gold. In this scenario, there was no need for Shima to get involved with Javed and his sister. In this case, the burden of the drama of the story was more heavy on the shoulders of Tala and Bahman, and the audience would face these two characters more than a raw and immature character like Javed. Javed's sister Alana has no significant function in the scenario except for the kidnapping story.

Shima's strange plan to take revenge on Tala and Bahman could have been much more malicious than what was seen in the story. "Rogue" still exists and it must be admitted that the flaws of this series are not only limited to the script. The direction of "Yaghi" also has small and big problems. For example, we can refer to planting and withdrawing cards in different parts. The cameraman's deliberate and long zoom on some shots and subjects makes it easy for the viewer to predict why such planting was done and how this planting will affect the story in the future. For example, we can mention Shima's bag, which was not executed correctly from the technical point of view, and from the scenario point of view, problems can be considered for it. From a technical point of view, the audience is officially informed with a few shots that this bag is very important and will be used again later. From the aspect of the scenario, it is completely a funny moment. Sheema suddenly and purposely throws the bag into the river and Rahman and Javed just watch her, without realizing it. Try to get the bag again! Rahman may not have the right mind, but why didn't Javed suspect at that moment that there might be something important in it that Sheema wanted to be relieved of? Should this point also be summed up as Javed's naivety and Rahman's lack of intelligence? In any case, we hope that the industry of making films and TV series has advanced enough and of course its companions have listened enough to constructive criticism that in the near future a unique crime and drama series will be made that cannot be easily criticized; At least a series that does not insult the viewer's intelligence and assumes that the audience is a completely intelligent person.
