In 2012, the production of adult movie franchises was at its peak and die-hard fans of the adult genre, after the release of the second part of "Dawn" and the movie "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Episode 2" was looking for an alternative to fill in the blanks until a film adaptation of Collins's popular novel series, The Hunger Games, was released.

Hunger was one of the last successful anti-utopia adaptations with a powerful narrative of political control, inequality and survival, starring Jennifer Lawrence as the acclaimed protagonist, Katniss Ordin, Josh Hutcherson as the golden son of the baker, and Donald Dunder. We played the role of Penn's boss, Snow.

Despite the success of the first and second films, d And the final film of the franchise suffered from a decline in audience interest in adult cinematic franchises. In 2014, the first installment of "Mockingbird" was released during a year full of adult content, including works such as "The Breaker," "The Spiral Runner," and "The Academy of Bloodthirsty," which followed in the footsteps of other similar works, such as Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, "Beautiful Creatures," "Host," and "Mortal Instruments: City of Bones," released in 2013.

Despite declining audience interest in adult movie franchises, all four films in the series "The Hunger Games," including the final two episodes, continues to have its own appeal almost a decade after the first film was released. So without any introduction, we will go to the review and ranking of the films in this series.

4. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 ( The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 )

  • Director: Francis Lawrence
  • Cast: Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hamsworth, Josh Hutcherson
  • Release Date: 2015
  • Raton Score Tomitosis: 69 out of 100
  • IMDb points per movie: 6.6 out of 10

The final episode of the franchise, directed by Francis Lawrence, was largely faithful to the novel itself and, unfortunately, was not as successful as the novel, according to experts and critics. The latest film in the "Hunger Games" series struggles with a fast and erratic rhythm. The last 30 minutes of Part 2 are very unreasonable. The main lines of the story, and especially the consequences of Prim's death, who should have been given more time, are ignored. The main characters, especially Katniss and Gill (Liam Hamsworth), undergo major changes that are relatively unknown. As mentioned, however, we still see great moments in the final part of the series, from the unexpected shot of Katniss that kills Quinn to the quiet moments between Bugs (Mahershala Ali) and Katnis. The first three films, however, created the tension needed for an epic ending, but "The Mockingbird - Part 2" was a bit disappointing. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 ( The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 )

The third installment of the series, directed by Francis Lawrence, was released at a time when the popularity of adult movie franchises was declining. Despite the success of the franchise's first two films, the fuss over "Imitation Chicken - Part 1" indicates that adult anti-utopian works (and even a popular "Hunger Games") are disappearing from the audience's radar. As mentioned, "Imitation Chicken - Part 1" is not necessarily a bad movie, despite its drawbacks. The third part, like many anti-utopian cinematic series and novels (such as "Traditional" and "Spiral Runner"), strayed from the successful formula of previous films and tried to expand the story world on a larger scale and unnecessarily. "Imitation Chicken - Part 1" is the first film in the series, in which there is no news of annual Hunger games, which was not pleasant for some audiences. However, this film shows some of the strongest sad scenes in the whole series, from the bombing in the District 8 hospital to a heartbreaking final scene. Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss is struggling with extreme stress after the events of the previous film and is trying to cope with the grief of losing Pita.

2. The Hunger Games )

Part 2, "Games Hunger: Ignition, directed by Francis Lawrence, is even higher and more successful than the first franchise. "Ignition" features some of the series' most memorable characters, including Phoenix (Sam Claflin) and Johanna (Jenna Malone). The excitement of the Games increases as all the heroes have to return to compete to the death once again. The second part of the film, with the return of the heroes, delves deeper into the politics of the game, as secret groups are formed to ensure the survival of Katniss as a symbol of rebellion. In this film, we see Katniss react to Pita's feelings towards him, and Katniss realizes how good and kind this boy is. Their steadfast determination to ensure each other's survival, even knowing that these actions mean their own death, reflects the evolution of their relationship after surviving the first game. Katniss and Pita are arguably the most popular characters in the adult genre, and "Ignition" illustrates this well.
