8 Disney animations that deserve a better sequel or sequel

BingMag.com 8 Disney animations that deserve a better sequel or sequel

Walt Disney's animation studio since its first animation (first feature animation), "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" In 1937, he produced the world's most famous animations. From "The Golden Age," under Walt's own supervision, to "Disney's Renaissance," arguably the most famous and popular era and the pinnacle of art and storytelling, as well as its box office success, Disney animation has made a huge difference.

 • From Dumbo to Charm; How do Disney animations distort other cultures?

Despite Disney's dominance of animation, the company has not always been great, especially in terms of sequels. The "Renaissance" and "post-Renaissance" periods in particular were full of sequels that aired directly on DVD, reducing budgets and storylines to take advantage of the success of their feature films. In addition to the sequels that are in dire need of change, there are several successful films that have not yet been considered as a sequel, but their characters and animations deserve more time to show.

1. Mulan/deserves a better sequel

One month after Mulan rescues China (Voiced by Meng Na Wen), General Li Shang (voiced by BD Wang) proposes to her, and they decide to plan a wedding. But first the emperor asks them to save China once again, this time to accompany his three daughters to the Mongol Empire for marriage.

This film is more about the three princesses and their love affair with Yao ( With the voices of Harvey Firstin), Ling (voiced by Gadeh Watanabe) and Chin Poe (voiced by Jerry Tondo), Mulan's accomplices from the first film focus. While their characters are amusing, Mulan's character is reduced to a stubborn and selfish one without the same charm or genius that initially saved China. Mark Moseley) is designed to eventually be superficially resolved, as well as arranged marriages for the princess that eventually become unnecessary. This lack of convincing subject matter and weakly formed characters leads to an unbearable sequence. Mulan, as an intelligent woman who has saved the whole country, deserves more attention to her personality as well as a worthy plan of her skills.

2. The Princess and the Frog/No sequel

BingMag.com 8 Disney animations that deserve a better sequel or sequel

"The Princess and the Frog" With two-dimensional animation, he follows Tiana (voiced by Anika Noni Rose) trying to open his dream restaurant. A voodoo wizard disrupts his plans by turning Prince Navin (voiced by Bruno Campus) into a frog. They enter the creek together, Navin and Tiana kiss and fall in love, and Tiana Palace opens the restaurant she has always dreamed of. While no sequel has been planned for the animation, an animated television series will air on Disney Plus in 2022.

However, Tiana is a character who deserves a full sequel. He is hardworking, resourceful and ambitious. Now that his restaurant has opened, a sequel could introduce more interesting New Orleans characters. Tiana's friendship with Charlotte La Buff (voiced by Jennifer Cody), a beautiful southern girl who dreams of marrying a royal family, is also fun, and they can be a strong couple to face new threats from the spirit world or the barons. An aristocratic title for men (lucky).

Tiana is also the first black Disney princess to be a big step forward for people who are creative in diversifying the franchise. Hopefully, this TV series will give her many opportunities to discover her life as a successful princess and restaurant owner, but the sequel will not be unreasonable.

3. Tarzan/deserves a better sequel

a sub-story from the "Tarzan" animation Tarzan (voiced by Michael T. Weiss) and Jane (voiced by Olivia Dabo) as they approach their first year of marriage in the jungle. The series, called "Tarzan & Jane", tells three short stories, along with a weak narrative of Jane looking for a suitable gift for her husband for their wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, the animation has a lower quality than the original version and also shows characters that are one-dimensional and have no convincing personality arcs. It also lacks the appeal of many of the original voice actors who did not return for the sequels.

Jane's friends visit West Africa, although according to Jane in the first film, this is very expensive and dangerous for a typical Englishman. Tarzan also blocks German diamond explorers and spies. While the concept of adapting Victorians to jungle life is a fun premise wasted in the film, instead of exploring story designs from the original book series or introducing a few new characters, Jane and Tarzan end up celebrating their anniversary with diamonds and typical English decorations. They take on characters who do not exist simply to serve a weak storyline.

Treasure Planet/no sequel

BingMag.com 8 Disney animations that deserve a better sequel or sequel

"Treasure Planet" a forgotten treasure from Disney's post-Renaissance era is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island novel, but it takes place in space. Follows the story of a teenager named Jim Hawkins (voiced by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who seeks out a legendary planet on a ship called the RLS Legacy where a notorious pirate named Nathaniel Flint (voiced by Peter Cullen) finds his treasure. Why did Disney use repetitive scenes in its animations?

The film is not only full of supernova explosions and rebel crews, but also in The heart itself has a strong story, as it reveals the relationship between Jim and Cyborg Silver chef (voiced by Brian Murray) who begins to play a paternal character. The film ends with Jim changing his life and graduating from the Royal Interstellar Academy, and while he was making a sequel, it was canceled due to the film's poor box office performance.

This sequel could eventually be a Show romantic interest and also reunite Silver and Jim Hawkins to face the pirates. Despite its failure at the box office and its place as one of Disney's lesser-known films, it has a strong storyline, with animations combining 2D and CG elements, leaving the entire galaxy to be explored in later episodes.

5. Atlantis; The Lost Empire/deserves a better sequel

BingMag.com 8 Disney animations that deserve a better sequel or sequel

"Atlantis; The Lost Empire follows Milo (voiced by James Arnold Taylor) and Kida (voiced by Carrie Summer) who come to Earth to solve the puzzles of Atlantis technology. The story is effectively combined, as the three episodes for a canceled TV series based on the film are combined into one weak narrative. The animation and narrative are poor, and the second sequel can not be based on the world and character of the original film. The original film failed at the box office. The most interesting aspect of the film is the ending when Kida brings Atlantis to the surface and apparently makes the world a much better place from then on. This story was much more compelling, with humans and Atlantis competing for advanced technology and introducing Atlantis to human societies on Earth.

Tangled/No Tails

One of the most beautiful Disney CG animations to date "Giso Kamand" has a stunning soundtrack and a heartwarming story. While a TV series and a short film have been made to expand the history of the Corona Kingdom and the magic flower that shaped the Rapunzel powers (voiced by Mandy Moore), no sequel has been announced for the film. The TV series introduces new characters, such as the child of an uninformed inventor named Varian (voiced by Jeremy Jordan), and Rapunzel and Captain's best friend Cassandra (voiced by Eden Spinoza).

Also, exploring the history of the magical sunflower adds depth to Rapunzel's world and can certainly be a good subject for a feature film. In addition, the role of Rapunzel and Eugene (voiced by Zachary Levy) in Arendal in "Frozen" leaves many questions unanswered. Rapunzel and Eugene are certainly one of Disney's most adventurous couples, as their adventures in Tangled: The Series show, and we hope that some of these adventures will eventually become a complete sequel.

7. Peter Pan/deserves a better sequel

BingMag.com 8 Disney animations that deserve a better sequel or sequel

"Peter Pan 2: The Return" Peter Pan II: Return To Neverland, with slightly better animation than most Disney sequels in theaters, was still less popular. The soundtrack was especially criticized for being far removed from the original film's soundtrack, and the story relies on awkward humor and fictional characters to cover its poor performance. The hypothesis is strong. Wendy's daughter (voiced by Susie), Jane (voiced by Harriet Owen), a stubborn disbeliever in the land of witchcraft and magic, is abducted by Peter Pan (voiced by Blaine Weaver) and helps him lose his best The pirates escape nowhere and their plots escape, but the film fails to carry out its idea.

Most of the characters are written in one dimension, especially since Peter does not have the charm of the first film. Perhaps the use of some of GM Barry's original stories will create a stronger narrative, or reveal more elements of the land of nowhere, because it must be unique to each child who sees it. Fortunately, while offensive indigenous stereotypes have been removed from the film, the island seems a bit unstable with only the lost boys, the pirates, and their eternal, monotonous enmity to preserve a feature film.

8. Hercules/deserves a better sequel

BingMag.com 8 Disney animations that deserve a better sequel or sequel

Similar to the disappointing sequels presented directly in the DVD Became, "Hercules; From Zero to Hero (Hercules: Zero to Hero) combines three episodes of the TV series based on this film into a weak story. The episodes are largely a follow-up to the young Hercules (voiced by Tate Donovan) in his harrowing school adventures, and introduce other characters from Greek mythology, such as his protagonist, Adonis (voiced by Didier Bader). Now that Hercules is generally at war with arrogant classmates instead of the god of the underworld, the dangers are much less.

 • 15 powerful Disney female characters who can be our role models in life

Although the characters have retained their charm of the original film, their storyline is weak and unforgettable. A much better sequel could have used more of the Greek mythology than pushed them together in a school setting, sending Hercules on another epic quest. Hades (voiced by James Woods) is also an overly entertaining villain who is sidelined by smaller antagonists, and unfortunately his presence in the sequel is dim.
